Both claims were denied after being resubmitted. Now they claim there is no out of network coverage that I had been told there was previously.
The law doesn’t state that they cover only if there is in or out of network coverage. It states that it will be covered if any kind of anesthesia under any circumstance is covered under the health policy.
Original review posted by user Oct 12We have a dental and health care plan. Our daughter need dental work with anesthesia. I spoke with the representative and was assured that the healthcare policy would pay it but as out of network at 70 percent after the deductible. (The dentist is in network). Once the work was done nd the claim filed they processed the bill from an MD under the dental policy that does not cover out of network and then declined it. I have written an appeal letter to them which will take as long to be answered as the claim (at least 1 month). They should be paying $3100 of a $4300 bill. By law they are required to put the anesthesia through the healthcare policy but didn’t even after a second submission. The website does not have any in network anesthesiologists. Crooks!
