New ReviewerI called to make sure that Humana covered an up coming colonoscopy. Rep told me yes!
However, rep stated that my Dr needed to submit authorization to Humana. Making a long story short I don't need authorization. The supervisor (Humana) talked to my doctors office and advised Humana that NO authorization was needed and doctors office stated that Humana sent doctors office a NOTICE stating Humana doesn't require authorization for my procedure! Customer service rep stated that she had gotten numerous calls from Humana patients asking the same question about authorizations!
Humana supervisor was totally unaware of notice sent to doctor's office (re: authorizations)!! Tonight I called to talk to rep regarding a bill I received, she was very rude and lot of dead air on phone! Didn't make any tell me what she was doing I thought she hung up. Transferred me to supervisor who was rude!
kept interrupting me. Unprofessional to say the least.
User's recommendation: Find a better insurance company and coach reps how to best talk to customers. Don't interrupt.
Preferred solution: Apology.
Humana Pros: Cost, Irritating, Coverage is good but confusion on fl rules.
Humana Cons: Agents and billing, Cost.
